A great demonstration of unique red winemaking skills. The effort and ability that goes into this no vintage Special RosÃÂÃÂÃÂé Champagne is akin to alchemy as it’s a very technical wine. First created in 2008, the plots that host the production are treated in the same way as the CÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂôte aux Enfants plot.
Cellar aged for more than twice the time required by the appellation, its intimate and unusual flavours can be served for afternoon tea, Bollinger-style. It is also perfect for a picnic on a summer afternoon, as a pre-dinner drink or served with a fruity and tart dessert.
A deep bronze colour keeps notes of red currant, cherry and wild strawberry on the nose with a glimmer of spice. A well structured palate with plenty of length and depth gives way to a tannic finish thanks to the 5-6% of Pinot Noir grapes that vinified and added as red wine.
This RosÃÂÃÂÃÂé Champagne is best served with the likes of lobster, salmon and Asian cuisine with only a minimal amount of spice. It is also very popular with fruit based desserts like strawberry tart & raspberries.
62% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay, 14% Meunier. Only 5 to 6% red wine added due to its power.
Over 85% Grands and Premiers crus.
